However, in addition to the points mentioned in the post, his continuous perpetuation of Giuliani’s policy of racial profiling, police brutality, and ongoing war on nightlife has been very problematic and worrisome. but, we’ll see what happens over the next four years.

While I agree with many of the points you make, the one that that really resonates with me is that Bloomberg has supported sustainable transportation in the city. He has installed Janette Sadik-Khan as NYC DOT commissioner and she has been a visionary in the sustainable streets movement. Thompson plans to get rid of her and remove critical livable infrastructure like bike lanes. Now I’m not the biggest fan of Bloomberg but this issue alone makes me reconsider voting for Thompson.
