Today, December 1, 2010 is World Aids Day, a global campaign dedicated to raising public awareness, removing the unwarranted stigma that surrounds HIV and finding a cure to the disease that has taken the lives of millions of men, women and children around the globe. Since 1987, December 1st has marked World Aids Day and the President of the Unites States has made a proclamation on this day since 1995.
