Today, December 1, 2010 is World Aids Day, a global campaign dedicated to raising public awareness, removing the unwarranted stigma that surrounds HIV and finding a cure to the disease that has taken the lives of millions of men, women and children around the globe. Since 1987, December 1st has marked World Aids Day and the President of the Unites States has made a proclamation on this day since 1995.

Over the weekend, thousands of folks in Delhi marched and danced in the streets to celebrate gay pride, especially in light of last summer’s High Court decision to strike down Section 377.
