NYC Pride 2022 Events

After three years of uncertainty, NYC Pride is now finally mostly in-person this June with several events being hosted around town, including one featuring our own DJ Ashu Rai. Below are some of our picks. And thank you all for reaching out — while we don’t have any of our own Sholay events planned for Pride, stay tuned for updates!

 

JUNE 9

“B.Y.O.B: Bring Your Own Baggage.” 

A gender discard party hosted by Nayland Blake at the Whitney Museum of American Art Attendance is free with registration on June 9 from 7pm to 10pm, with dancing, food, and drinks. It’s 21+.  More details are here.

June 26th| 
NYC Pride March

The 53rd NYC Pride March will begin at noon on June 26th from 25th Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan. Marchers will proceed south on 5th Avenue before heading west on 8th Street. After crossing over 6th Avenue, the march will continue on Christopher Street, passing the Stonewall National Monument. It will then turn north on 7th Avenue, passing the New York City AIDS Memorial, before dispersing in Chelsea at 16th Street and 7th Avenue. Open to the public.

 

June 26th| 
Queer Liberation March

Muslim woman and Canadian woman marching in the 36th Pride
-The fourth annual Queer Liberation March for trans and BIPOC freedom, reproductive justice and bodily autonomy will kick off in Foley Square at 2:00 p.m. and end in Washington Square Park, open to the public starting at 1:00 p.m.

 

June 26th| 
Color Me Queer – 6PM

-The BIGGEST (fundraiser) dance party for Queer & Trans BIPOC at NYC Pride is back on  Sunday, June 26, 2022!  Three floors of   DJs spinning live, drag performances, belly dancers, and more.   Proceeds support five QPOC grassroots organizations:  Caribbean Equality Project, GAPIMNY, SALGA NYC, TARAB NYC and Q-Wave NYC
