SALT’s 1st Statewide Conference this weekend

Attend South Asians Leading Together, or SALT’s “Empowering South Asians in New Jersey” this weekend,
January 30 – January 31 in Montclair, New Jersey. Participate in sessions covering immigration reform, health care equity, cultivating social change through art and media, and more. See the full conference schedule here.
The event will include a range of speakers including activists Gouri Sadhwani, Dr. Fawzia Afzal-Khan and Shamita Das Dasgupta; NJ civic leaders Ron Chen, Ravi Bhalla, and Nuren Nabi; and more.

Rates for the conference are $35 general admission and $15 for students. The admission will include all workshops and meals on Saturday, January 30th and Sunday, January 31st, as well as conference materials and a complimentary invitation to the ChangeMakers Award Reception on Saturday the 30th.
