Aamir’s Workout Routines
We’ve noticed that formerly chubby and flabby (always cute) Aamir Khan has recently touted a weight-training book authored by Arnold Schwarzenegger and the “The Encyclopedia of Body Building”. And, the talented Khan has credited this book for his “eight-pack” that he showcased for Ghajini, his recent smash hit and “remake” of Christopher Nolan’s “Memento”. Apparently, the new physique required a 13-month workout routine with a daily regimen of four hours a day!
Khan is so serious about passing his routine on to others that he’s even set up a Facebook page where hes now giving his fans a frequent update on his gym routine and calorie intake. For example, below is a recent posting from Aamir:
Reporting on my 1st day. Diet bang on, no cheating. Slept 9 hrs so that was good. And workout for a first day was not bad. Trainer made me do a couple of circuits. Nice and easy start. Unfortunately tomorrow I have a very early morning and a long day. So workout will suffer. And so will sleep. But plan …to be rock steady on the diet. How was it for you guys?
We definitely appreciate the advice to his audience, but cant help notice that this seems to be a very recent trend with the Bollywood. On Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan sends endless posts about his own daily workout routine and trainer, diet and sleeping patterns and telling his followers to avoid carbs at all costs. So, will this obsession remain a fad and well soon go back to pre-Dil To Pagal Hai Shah Rukh Khan? Or, will Bollywood audiences around the world now be used to leading men with eight and ten-pack abs and muscular bodies??
