Bolliday Holiday with The Banyan Tree Project
Have you caught the commercials during your favorite Hulu show about HIV in the South Asian community? If not, you’re clearly not watching the right shows.
Well, we caught the extremely well produced PSA’s created by The Banyan Tree Project and are thrilled to be collaborating with them for the Bolliday Holiday party on Friday — which also happens to be the day after World Aids Day.
One of the great things about the monthly Desilicious parties is that we get to partner with some great organizations for various events. This month we are happy to highlight The Banyan Tree Project and the important work they do for our community.
Don’t know a lot about their work? Check them out on Facebook, Twitter and on their website!
Who are they?
The Banyan Tree Project is a national capacity building assistance project funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to mobilize the Asian & Pacific Islander community to increase testing and utilization of HIV/AIDS testing and related services. We do this in three ways:
- National Asian & Pacific Islander Leadership Coalition
- National Anti-Stigma Social Marketing Campaign
- May 19: National Asian & Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
