LAUNCHING SOON “THE COLD CALL” A KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN
The Cold Call film will begin it’s crowdfunding journey via Kickstarter. The “Cold Call,” is a short film adapted from a published New York Times essay essay written by Indian-American author Rahul Mehta. Rahul is the author of “Quarantine” a collection of short stories that chronicle the lives of gay Indian-American men, their disappointments and betrayals and hard earned personal connections they come to cherish.
Sholay Productions is proud to help this campaign along with MTV Voices, SALGA, CAMPUS PRIDE, and Gaysi Family to bring this film to the South Asian community. The filmmakers are using “The Cold Call” as a platform to bring forth the challenges that South Asian LGBT youth face and want to let their voices be heard. They are also looking to share coming out stories on their MTV Voices platform. If you would like to tell your coming out story, please send an email to contact@coldcallfilm.com.
