Linda Simpson’s Debut Photo Book Party Tonight

“Pages” is the debut photo book by one of our favorite New Yorkers, Linda Simpson, who pays homage to her captivating friend Page.  According to Linda,  the book allows you to travel back in time as she narrates her photos of NYC’s momentous drag scene from the late 1980s to the mid ’90s.  The photos also recall Page’s “mysterious beauty, outlandish sense of style, and provocative performances” that made her a cult figure of the Downtown scene.  There’s a book launch party this evening at The Cock (naturally) with a slideshow and installation and music by DJ Formika.  The event is from 7-10PM and the address is 29 Second Ave (between 1st and 2nd Sts).  More information is available here.
